Reaction Time Test
Assess and improve your reaction time with this stimulus testing tool from RunThen. RunThen's tool allows athletes to switch between audio and visual cues for testing reaction time.
In visual mode, you'll see "Runners set!" followed by "GO!" after a random delay. Click as quickly as possible after "GO!" appears. In audio mode, you'll hear a gunshot after the delay with no visual cue.
This tool allows athletes to set a "false start threshold" to abide by the official standard, which is 100 milliseconds, the research-backed standard, which is 80 milliseconds, or any other custom value.

A note on reaction time delays: All calculations here happen within your web browser. Unfortunately, the digital systems introduce a delay. Device and browser delays are difficult to accurately account for. As our team observes more data points, we may introduce a "true reaction time" adjustment. Currently, accounting for the web technologies we use, we have found the delay to be roughy 60ms.
